Paper Print, Bentley-Boys, limited Serie of 49 pieces, handsigned
Dimensions:19 x 23"
This picture shows the beautiful wings logo, still known today as the british luxury car brand in the world, based in the midlands where O.W. Bentley with the construction of the foundation stone laid for a glorious era. Woolf Barnato, one of the Bentley boys, bought the company, leading to the creation of the famous supercharged Bentley Blowers. This time was up from 1927 to 1931 when the cars, called the world fastest trucks, were driven by the Bentley-Boys, here specially Sir Henry, "Tim" Birkin who won the le mans 24h-race in 1929. The drawing on the left shows the Birkin-team-car Nr. 9 and also the coat of arms in the Union jack, some advertising at that time (Fire Stone a.s.o.). After the car tests and after races the drivers returned to pubs like the Royal Oak, where they celebrated their cars, them self, life even like the Bentley-boys still do it today.
